Privacy Policy

FlashFeed is made by Recurxive LLC. This policy explains what the FlashFeed app does with information. It is short because the app does very little with it.
What FlashFeed collects today: nothing
FlashFeed has no accounts, no sign-in, no analytics, no advertising, and no crash-reporting service. We do not build a profile of you, we do not sell or share information with data brokers, and we do not combine anything from FlashFeed with information from other companies' apps or websites. There is no "Allow tracking" prompt because there is nothing to allow.
What stays on your device
Everything FlashFeed knows about your learning lives on your phone, in the app's own storage:
- which knowledge packs you have installed, and your place in them
- which cards you have seen, which questions you answered, and whether you got them right
- your streak, your Flash Bucks, your review pile, and your lesson progress
- anything you write in the app, such as a Time Capsule
- your settings and preferences
This information is not transmitted to us. We cannot see it. If you delete the app, it is gone — so if any of it matters to you, keep in mind that today there is no backup and no way for us to restore it. (Account-based backup is coming; see "What's coming" below.)
What happens when the app downloads content
FlashFeed downloads its knowledge packs, study guides and images from the internet. Like any app or web browser that requests a file, your device's IP address is visible to the servers serving it. Those servers are:
- Vercel, which serves pack files and study guides
- Cloudflare, which serves images
Both keep ordinary server logs of requests, as essentially all web hosting does. We use those logs only to keep the service running and to understand aggregate load. We do not use them to identify you, to build a profile, or for advertising, and we do not combine them with anything else.
We mention this because a claim that an internet-connected app collects absolutely nothing would not be honest. This is the unavoidable minimum that comes with downloading a file.
Notifications
If you turn on reminders, FlashFeed schedules them on your device. The content of a reminder is chosen on your phone from packs you already have, and the reminder is stored and delivered locally. FlashFeed does not use a push-notification service, so no notification token or device identifier is registered with us or anyone else. Turning reminders off in Settings stops them entirely.
Diagnostics
The app can produce a diagnostics summary to help troubleshoot a problem. It is created only when you ask for it, it is handed to your device's normal share sheet, and it goes only where you choose to send it. Nothing is sent automatically.
Children
FlashFeed is a general-audience learning app and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Because the app collects nothing today, there is nothing for us to delete — but if you believe a child has provided us information, contact us at support@flashfeedlearningapp.com.
Your choices and your rights
Today, you hold all of your FlashFeed information yourself. Deleting the app deletes it. There is no account for us to close and no copy on our servers to request or erase.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or port personal information a company holds about you, and to object to certain processing. Those rights apply to information we actually hold — which, apart from the server logs described above, is none. If you want to exercise a right or simply ask what we have, write to support@flashfeedlearningapp.com and we will answer.
What's coming
We are building optional accounts, so that your progress, streaks and Flash Bucks survive a lost phone and follow you to a second device. We also plan to add product analytics, so we can see which lessons work and where the app frustrates people.
When those ship, this policy will be updated before the release that contains them, with a new effective date, and the App Store privacy label will be updated to match. In broad terms they will involve an account identifier, your learning progress stored on our servers so it can sync, an email address if you choose to sign in with one, and usage events describing what you do in the app. Even then, we will not sell your information, share it with data brokers, or combine it with information about you from other companies' apps or websites. If you would rather not have any of that, the app will continue to work without an account.
Changes to this policy
If we change how FlashFeed handles information, we will update this page and change the effective date at the top. For a material change — meaning one that expands what we collect or what we do with it — we will say so in the app before the change takes effect, not only here.
